Peishan - Yoga Teacher, Student and Practitioner
A lifelong student of mindfulness—from meditation practices to my Yoga practice—I teach yoga as a bridge between body and awareness. My classes blend traditional asana, breath, vinyasa and meditation, inviting students to move with intention rather than ambition. As both teacher and perpetual learner, I believe yoga is a practice of returning: to presence, to compassion, and to the quiet wisdom beneath the noise of daily life.

I guide practitioners through a Yogasana class. It is a dynamic vinyasa practice, and a moving meditation, where breath and movement unite to reveal profound connections. Through the body—our entry point and anchor—we awaken to consciousness, discovering our true nature in the process. This practice aims to dissolve perceived boundaries: between mind and body, self and "other," humanity and nature. Currently deepening these explorations through my 300-hour YTT with Stewart Gilchrist in London, I’m passionate about how yoga cultivates both inner clarity and the collective bonds.

Being lost in self-judgement, anxiety and depression, Ashtanga offered me a sanctuary during the pandemic years. Forever a student of yoga, I approach the practice with curiosity and humility. My journey—from meditation to Yoga, from 200-hour teacher training to now pursuing 300-hour studies with Stewart Gilchrist—is one of continuous discovery. Each teacher, each breath reminds me that yoga is an endless conversation between body, mind, and the world we share. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all my teachers: Morwenna and Lascel from the Wild Warrior Yoga, Stewart Gilchrist, and Emi Tull for their dedications and inspirations.
The Path So Far
Growing up in a Buddhist household in China, I witnessed my family’s daily meditation practice—planting seeds that would later bloom in my own path. After navigating corporate work and academic research that left me feeling disconnected, I found my way to yoga during the pandemic through Ashtanga, which became my anchor amid isolation and uncertainty.
My approach to yoga naturally integrates with my background in social development. I believe we don't have time to wait for enlightenment in isolated sanctums—inner practice and social action must occur synchronistically and in parallel, beginning with liberating ourselves from self-attachment, reactionary patterns and self-centred perspectives.
Having completed a 200-hour YTT in Ashtanga Yoga, I aim to create spaces where yoga becomes a bridge to understanding in our divided world.
